Palm® smartphone cameras

Palm smartphone cameras are the embedded cameras in Palm smartphones. The cameras consist of an image sensor chip packaged with a lens in a self-contained module.

  Camera test lab

  Developed a lab for testing smartphone camera functionality and performance. Incorporated full end-to-end test capability, from standard camera test image targets and lighting inputs, to calibrated display and printer outputs. Used Imatest software for camera image analysis.

  Image sensor and camera module evaluation

  Evaluated candidate image sensors and camera modules from vendors. Provided benchmark test data for helping select image sensors and camera modules.

  Camera validation tests and tuning

  Tested and validated camera performance in Palm Treo™ and Centro™ smartphones. Provided data to incorporate into the smartphone software for camera performance tuning and image quality optimization.
